Recollectr has two types of elements in the editor:

Editor elements

• Structural blocks: affect entire lines in the editor, changing formatting.
• Stylistic marks: affect characters, change visual appearance, but do not the formatting

What’s the difference?

Structural elements like headers, codeblocks, and images cannot contain other structural elements, except blockquotes, which can contain any other element. 

Stylistic marks, like bold, italic, and strikethrough, can be applied to any element in Recollectr except for codeblocks and images.
